Agent was unprofessional, manipulative and deceitful. Move-in: Security Cheque is encashed by the Agent (Rania) and as soon as it was encashed the whole demeanor and treatment has changed. 3 weeks after move-in they will start charging you with repair fees on fixtures that were clearly damaged due to years of usage by previous tenants like rusted faucet, AC and others. Damages that was covered up by Shafiq AC contractor (3rd party contractor and not the building maintenance team) before hand-over to new tenants. A month before my lease ends, I called Rania asking about renewal process, only to find out that rent has increased (as per RERA, 3 months notice is a must for any rent increase otherwise rent must remain the same). She responded by mentioning that I should be grateful for her in keeping the increase minimal, as though she had done me a big favor. Which brings us to the moving-out fiasco, If you are moving out soon, here the things to watch out for: Keep all your correspondence with Rania documented (she manipulates the truth to benefit her) Ejari has the contact details of the Landlord (keep it handy in case you need to chase after Rania for the reimbursement of security deposit, she ignored me for 5 days it felt like I was asking for a favor requesting my security deposit) Rania deals with her own subcontractors (not the building maintenance team) and will charge you ridiculous the amount for any move -out maintenance. She will not share any quotations leaving you clueless. Piece of advice paint the flat yourself and clean it if you want to stand any chance of getting your deposit back.
