When you first go to the car dealer, they welcome you, and after you return it, no one even smiles at you. The treatment is very bad and they have no morals, especially the employee who sees himself and does not respect people of Asian nationality. Horrible experience with the return of deposit. I rented a car from Dubai airport terminal 2 in January, I returned it in the same condition I got it in and they told me I will get the deposit returned in 2 weeks. It s been 5 months and I still have not received anything from them. When I try to call them they don t pick up, neither they reply to messages. Do not get your cars from this terminal, your deposit won t be returned!!!

Rented out a Mazda CX3 on Feb 4 for 5 days. It has been over 75 days and I am yet to receive refund of my AED 2,000 deposit! I have followed up with the customer service team through e-mail multiple times without any satisfactory reply. Extremely disappointed, will never opt for Thrifty again after this experience.

Be careful of them, I swear I have not read the comments until now, 5 weeks after I returned and the insurance was not returned, and when I speak to them, each one distracts me from the second and gives me a number that I must contact, and when I contact, he says no, call him back to the previous number, and so on. BAD EXPÉRIENCE - READ ! to flee!!! DONT GO THERE THEY ARE NOT HONEST !! I have rented from this company so many times this year. I know what I mean.I will not come again unprofessionnal new team today I was completely disappointed (run away if you have the new lady « MHH »). I dont recommend anyone to go here. Upon arrival, a new member of the team made us sign the condition of the car without telling us anything.the lady deliberately did not have us check the car, it is unprofessional, contrary to Thrifty policy and above all a serious professional error. 1/ She made us sign without showing us the car its not professionnal and contrary to the Legal process there are camera in the parking area to prove the employees behavior. I know the Thrifty process because I rent regularly and normally we look at the car together, we take photos. With her, nothing!! the reservation policy is not respected. She treated my 65 year old father like a dog even though I had recommended this company to her for their professionalism. 2/ we waited 40 minutes outside upon arrival to get a car that we didnt ask for. 3/ I pointed it out to her that we didnt check the car but she said « sign its okay I looked at the car before ». She is completely unpleasant with customers, there were other customers, she responded poorly, does not treat foreign customers correctly. This kind of thing doesnt normally happen at Thirthy. no sense of service, contempt and unpleasant. 4/ our return (we did not use the car from the stay) the same person informed us of a damage that we did not do and asked us to pay a- we got a car that we didnt ask for, I said its ok we will not use that much and like the company so lets try! and b- they trying to stole money from us for damage we didnt do. She forced us to sign the document even though we didnt agree (we signed and indicate on the papper that she forced us ). We took photo for proof. Run away if you have a MHH at reception. Waiting now for how much they will stole us on our deposit and will come back at the company to see what they « really repair » please see photo for a damage that we didn t do We will remove our comment if we receive positive feedback from Thrifty that s there understand that its not us and full refund déposit. Dont want to pay for something that we didnt do. Also that the unpleasant employee and above all in serious professional misconduct tried to accuse us of previous damage. For all that had bad experiences too please contact me these unprofessional behaviors must stop. I will summarize all the problems and testimonies to make a common complaint and display on social networks

Just awarning when you return the car you will be dropped at the end of arrival parking lot which means youll have to drag your bags across the parking lot and through the street to reach the other end of the road to get to the arrivals gate , I dont understand how the company cant provide the minimum courtesy to drop you in front of the departure doors. I would pay for the parking ticket if the company is looking to save a bit on that. Or may be provide a relay bus! Its a shame how they treat premium luxury car renters. warning! When you return the car, you will be dropped off at the end of the parking lot at the arrivals gate, and you have to cross the street and walk a long distance in the sun to reach the departure gate, which is a bad experience for families, especially with children or infants. I dont know why a bus is not provided to transport customers to the departure gate! The strangest experience renting a car at an airport I have had so far.

I had a terrible experience with Thrifty car rental. They wrongly canceled my booking, assuming my drivers license was a learners permit while it was a full license. Despite their promise, I havent received the refund to the day nor the cancellation email, while they have deducted the money from my account despite haven t received their service. Their customer service was incredibly rude. Fortunately, I found a car with another company at the airport. I wouldnt recommend Thrifty due to their poor service and lack of professionalism.

This company full of scam. When I was returning the car I was too late to my flight to participate in any car post checks so I just returned the car, some papers and left. After some time they send me message about they found small dental on the hamper and charge me additional 70$ from my card without my authorisation (it was charged additionally to deposit which I still didn t return back) in the same time by their policy they should not charge for small dental at all. I m pretty sure their stuff just decided to use my situation and scam me with this small dental finding since I didn t have any incidents with the car and I always kept the car on private indoor parking. So be informed they could literally use your card after you returned the car and take your money for some additional findings without your authorisation. When I asked to send me some evidences for the scratch, they stopped answering me at all.

WORST car rental service!If I could give no star that would reflect them.We rented a car from T2 changed the flight ticket from 8pm to 2pm got charged an extra day no the biggest issue however when arriving to the desk with a Bahraini driving license the assistant demanded that my husband still a UAE resident and that he can not give us a rental on Bahraini driving licence because his previous UAE visa wasn t stamped cancelled. Which a, they don t stamp it any longer B, is not his scope of work to check my immigration status when all my documents are valid.Even though we showed the cancellation paper he still demanded. The argument went on for a while then I have called a police to deal with the matter whom also assured I am right. Cut the story short at 6 pm (3 hours later)they drove my husband more than an hour in the smallest car possible with 2 luggage and a massive bike case to a hotel to get a car.And following all this we got charged for something we don t even know as no invoice been shared. 1,No trained staff member 2,Been charged extra then end up getting the car too late missing out on a business meeting 3,car not available in a location which has been fully pre paid prior booking 4,Had to travel to get a car wasting time and energy. 5,Follow up email sent no one bother to deal with or responding to them. WASTE OF MONEY!Do not hire from them!They will make your experience terrible and cheat on you to get a charge!

They treat you nicely. You need to pay insurance of 1000 dirhams for small cars and 1500 dirhams for family cars. It will be returned to you after two weeks after the violations have been deducted from it. They have child seats for an additional cost of approximately 35 dirhams per day.

Although I was a bit hesitant due to some negative reviews, their offer on the Mazda CX3 2024 was tempting, so I decided to give it a shot. Booking the car took less than 10 minutes on WhatsApp. I asked a few questions, provided my name, email, and flight details, and received the booking confirmation minutes later. I arrived at 3:40 at their counter in terminal two. The process took less than 15 minutes, and I received a brand new car with only 2300 km on the odometer! Today, I arrived at the airport parking at 3. The guy was waiting in the parking area, checked the car in five minutes, and I paid my toll fees without needing to visit their counter. Then, he dropped me off at the departure gate and even helped with my bag! World-class service, highly recommended, and they will always be my first choice from now on. Keep it up!

The procedure to take the vehicle took me almost 45mins - I was happy that I got an upgrade but that doesn t justify that i had to wait for 45mins. The hand over was as easy as 3 mins, which was good. For some reason I couldn t connect my phone to the car Bluetooth. I was satisfied with the service provided. Bad experience! Terrible service! We rented a Chevrolet for a short family trip, the window suddenly wouldnt go up. After many calls to the T2 front desk and hotline, finally someone answers and tells us the car will be replaced in one HR. No one called back. After many calls (again) the same guy asks us to take the car back to T2 because another car is ready. We get to T2 but the car waiting for us is nothing close to ready! Full of garbage and handprints n greese on the windows and we were made to wait another half an hour (quick cleaning only where only garbage was removed)!! When we came back the following day to return the car as we r leaving we were made to wait some more for no reason, we informed the staff that we have a flight to catch but they kept on coming back n forth to the car because they forget checking stuff! Another 30 mins wasted there! Bottom line: never hiring from Thrifty n not recommending at all.
