The companys services are excellent, they are courteous, and they are quick to serve, but they have two problems 1- The delay in returning the reserved amount reaches four weeks, and this is stipulated in the contract 2- Deducting Salik amounts or violations from the credit card and not from the reserved amount

The employee in their office at the airport (Egyptian) tried to fool me in this way. The first thing I told him was 6 days and he gave me a price. I said ok, we agreed. Then we got into the issue of insurance. He withdrew 2500 dirhams, and then he said, It s okay, I calculated the amount based on 5 days. I said, Yes, the insurance amount was returned to me, and after that, I asked. The last thing I took was the car, and a month and a week after I delivered the car, the insurance returned to me a deficiency. They took 50 dirhams for bank transactions, and the amount was supposed to be reserved only, but they withdrew it from my account and then returned it. I will not repeat the experience with them

We had the most horrific experience at the terminal Thrifty car pick up department, waited 1 hour with my family to get my car. The office was like a zoo no where to sit or wait. They blamed it all on the parking which is unacceptable specially after a long flight you want to clear your paperwork and driver off. Not to mention they make you go to two offices one in the airport and the other out side for the handover. Save your self the hassle guys. No apologies or any attempt to speed up the process. My kids were exhausted and so was i.

I recently rented a Chevrolet Tahoe from Thrifty, and the experience was top-notch from start to finish. The customer service provided by Sophia and Fatima was outstanding. They were incredibly helpful, friendly, and efficient. I was in and out with my car in just 30 minutes, which was much appreciated. The Chevrolet Tahoe was in excellent condition and met all my expectations. I also inquired about a GMC Yukon, and they assured me that they would notify me as soon as one became available so I could switch vehicles. This level of service really impressed me. I highly recommend Thrifty for their exceptional service, and I want to give a special shoutout to Sophia and Fatima for making the process so smooth and enjoyable. Ill definitely be renting from them again!

A great car rental experience from booking the rental online to receiving email confirmation and step by step instructions on how to receive and return the vehicle and it all happened exactly like thrifty car rental said it would. The mobile app is particularly helpful. Thanks to Marion who have helped us leading the way to parking and to those wonderful people in the parking who have made our day so easy I couldn t recall the names but I think it was fakery and mishel. I rented a car for 3 days. Everything worked out wonderfully. The car was prepared when we arrived at the parking. Handover was super punctual, everything was explained properly by ms. Mich and mr Islam fakarisam. We contacted them after a day to check for extension rate and they have explained it straight away. So we were very satisfied.

A few things: The person replying to these reviews needs to calm down, seriously, people dont love Thrifty that much. Secondly: We rented with Thrifty a Nissan Sunny, and due to floods, we cant take the car out the hotel. (We have a flight today) Wed like to leave the car at the hotel and then after the waters recede, Thrifty can pick it up, but they havent answered any calls or messages. Terrible customer support. Please sort yourselves out unless you want your car damaged.

Be careful, a well-established scam!! (rented in April 2024) When booking, the good lady told us that we had to bring the car back at 11:00. We arrived at 10:30 a.m. and they asked us for a day because check-out was supposedly at 8:30 a.m. (so pay attention to what is written on the contract and do not believe their words) If you are on a business trip, be careful they cannot give you invoices in the name of the company.

Is anyone dealing with this company? I went to Dubai a month ago and came back and they did not return the insurance amount of 2000 dirhams and every time I talk to them they say we have returned it. Contact the bank and I contacted the bank and they say the amount has not been received. It is a lie. There is lying, fraud, fraud and playing against the customers. I complain to the Dubai government for consumer protection. It ignores the customer.

I rented a Mazda CX 3 on 1/13/2024, and it was a clean and new car. the employees in terminal 1 arrival dealing with me quickly and easily. It did not take more than 15 minutes to take the car from the office inside the airport to the parking and even when I delivered the car, it did not take more than 10 minutes to deliver the car. In fact, I was afraid that the deposit would not be refunded because of what I read in the comments, but today the money was refunded on 2/13/2024, that is, after a month. I thank Thrifty for the good work and I will rent from them every time, but the only thing I was angry about was taking a sum of money 383 AED for minor damage to the wheel, but overall it was a good experience with them

They claim my car seat had stain and when I cleaned it which was very minor dirt ,also back seat was dirty when i got it ,they are demanding to deduct 270 DHS for such minor dirty seats they are clearly going to clean it with their vacume cleaner but the point they want is your money ,they will never let go if the deposit amount unless they deduct as much as possible so you need to be very careful before renting from such companies but THRIFTY takes the cakes Ive never experienced such such treatment in my entire life and employee has extremely bad behaviour and started raising his voice right away saying he doesnt care about customer service you will not come back others will I dont care He claimed my wife toke a photo of him so he called the police while we are arguing about the car saying we wanted to show his photo in the social media ,which was a big lie we never claimed we will spread his photo we were taking photos for our own protection and rights *UPDATE : I have been contacted by thrifty lawyer to remove my review which is protected under free speech law ,I have only wrote my personal experience ,if thrifty wish to remove this review they better change their ways and not threaten customers with legal action when reviewing their customer service team .

I saw a review below and it blew my mind In Oct 2022 i had a very similar experience. They claim something is dirty and dont allow you to clean it and push to add it in the report and charge you. I took a video of what was happenning and they claimed i am taking a video of them and that they would bring the police. So we said ok lets bring the police right then and now and insisted that they do that. Minutes later their office management intervened and told us everything is ok and they wont charge. I would suggest not to go for what seems to be the cheapest rental. Go to a more reputable company that charges a bit higher but wont take advantage of your limited time that you have at the airport to overcharge you for silly things.

The definition of dishonesty is this company, despite how many times I ve tried reaching customer service with no response. Before you rent from them they will promise you with huge number of lies including the deposit, I rented a car for 4 days December 23, until today I didn t receive my deposit back, i have escalated this to the UAE government, hopefully they will take an action.

I was about to give them high score rating, however, I don t recommend renting from Thrifty and I ll not deal with them any more after seeing their slow performance in returning the blocked amount on my VISA (which took so far almost 60 days from car return till now with no response from Thrifty). Despite several emails & international phone calls they keeps referring you to your Card Bank with an endless loop to returns what is rightfully your right. They claimed the Blocked amount will be automatically released after 30 days then you will discover it s 30 (working days) however this is also not true unfortunately. Thrifty needs to commit with their customers & ensure to fulfill its commitments. Again release the blocked amount on my VISA urgently. I m still in contact with your customer service with no resolution till date ..

To be honest, I booked a car from them 5 years ago, and after I handed over the car to them and came back, I sat for about 25 days for them to redeem the amount of the deposit, which was about 2000 dirhams, and after a few months, discounts began to come (about 50 dirhams) from the same office on the visa card that I reserved from them (theft). I had to stop the visa and change it. I made a promise to myself that I would no longer rent from them. Then, more than a month ago, I attended a surprise business trip to Dubai, and I did not arrange my reservations early, so I was forced to take a car from them (depending on what was available). After I arrived, they reserved a security deposit of 3,000 dirhams. The car remained with me for 5 days. (To be honest, it was new) and the delivery procedures were quick, but when I returned it, I went to a car wash and washed and cleaned it to deliver it as I received it. I went to the airport to deliver it, and there was an Egyptian person whose name I don t know, who sat rummaging around in the car and delayed me in a frankly provocative manner, telling me that it was too early for your flight. Be careful, you are renting a car from them. There are swindlers who will return the insurance to you.
