They are by far the worst car rental place in the world. Specially the one at Dubai international airport Terminal 3. They are the worst customer service and they will try to charge you all these extra charges for no reason. Don t choose Sixt. Take any other car rental place or Uber. You will save yourself time, money and headaches.

A catastrophic experience with this agency! They take advantage of their customers by making them pay for abusive repairs. I was charged 450 for a scratch that was already there before my rental. When picked up, the vehicle is parked in a poorly lit parking lot where it is impossible to detect defects. But at the time of return, everything changes: they inspect every centimeter with a magnifying glass in a perfectly lit place, ready to charge for the slightest scratch. This is clearly a scam. I dont mind the 450, but its frustrating to be ripped off in such a deliberate manner. The photo taken an hour later, in another, better-lit parking lot, shows how impossible it was to spot this scratch. This is the first time Ive been tricked like this by an agency. Absolutely avoid!

My husband and I booked a mazda3, we were told that this car wasn t available and that we could not get an equivalent. We were offered an upgrade instead. We accepted it and it turned out that the upgrade was the worst Chinese car we ve ever had (GAC). We could not refuse the upgrade because we are from Europe and have no idea what car it was. We just trusted the agent. This is not how DIAMOND MEMBERS should be treated

I ve been a loyal Sixt customer globally, but my experience with the rental process in the UAE has been highly disappointing. The level of service here falls far below Sixt s usual standards. The process is overly complicated, and it feels like the employees have too much room to manipulate or take advantage of customers. This is frustrating and undermines the trust I ve built with the brand over the years. SCAM! I returned my vehicle after 15 days of rental, I took care to take a video of the vehicle, they charged me 450 for damage to a rim...and of course as it is pure theft for me on their part, I only received a photo of a wheel...I dont even know if its the wheel of my vehicle, when I dropped off the vehicle, the no one told me you can leave everything is ok...it was my mistake to trust them!!!! Sixth is indeed one of the amazing car rental company. Specifically in Dubai I must vouch for their extra ordinary world class service. After reading the comments I was really scared and regretted having booked with Sixt Dubai but when I arrived the man at the counter was very competent and professional, my category was no longer available so I was upgraded for free . I was offered certain options without forcing them. The extra costs were debited after 24 hours and the guarantee was returned after 72 hours. Honestly nothing to say about it, top service.

I have had positive experiences with SIXT in Europe and the USA, but unfortunately, the branch at Dubai airport has the worst customer service. I had to wait for 2 hours to pick up the car, and upon inspection, I found out that the rear camera was not working. When I reported this issue, they were unhelpful and unable to provide a replacement vehicle. To make matters worse, they charged me for an extra day plus a late fee when I returned the car just 1 hour late without telling me. I do not recommend their services and will not be using their Dubai branch again. Overall, it was a complete waste of time. local companies are much better than them..

Beware of this very, very bad company. They give you a car worth 150 riyals per day, ask you for an insurance fee of 100 dirhams per day, and take a deposit of 5000 dirhams from you. After that, nothing will be returned to you except for the deposit. They will tell you violations and fines, then they will take your card several times after you leave for your country. Saudi citizens beware of them because they are considered the worst rental company. Two hours to receive the car, delay and procrastination.

I had some concerns before renting car from sixt rental company at dubai Terminal 3 by reading negative comments, but for me everything went very well , i have booked Mazda for 5 days in Dubai ( instead i have got another new Chinese Sudan model ) , the car was super clean and i enjoyed driving it with its options, i should appreciate the company for reimbursement of my deposit on promised deadline ( after 25 days ) , indeed they have accepted my debit card for rental payments (even though i had to pay more deposit which was 3000 AED compared to credit card payment method which was fine for me ), in Dubai you will be charged for driving on highway ( each time passing tolls automatically 5.5 AED plus 5% VAT will be charged ) , for 5 days in Dubai i have been charged 15 times 86.64 AED . The fuel was also 2.8 AED per Litre ( i have spent 95.18 AED for car fuel ). The last but not the least do not be afraid to take service from sixt in Dubai Terminal 3 and driving in Dubai!

AVOID THIS PLACE! Heres why Ive rented multiple times from Dubai airport Europcar, Alamo, Autostrad. All great. SIXT was shocking! First of all the Filipino lady in the terminal booth was so rude, she didnt even look up at me when I walked in. It was almost as if she got annoyed that she had to speak to a customer lol. I explained my situation and tell her Im 2 days late but bear in mind Ive paid full price in advance. She goes on to tell me sorry the cars not available anymore and that theres a GLS and another car but they are more expensive so shes not gonna give them to me. IMPORTANT: every car rental company will give you any car thats available even if its better because they always right similar. She then proceeds to tell me that my car booking was cancelled anyways because Im a resident lol (Im not) without even asking or checking if I have a local license. I had a license and my wife also had a British license too just in case. I also emailed the customer service 2 days ago which clearly nobody bothers to check. Things worked out well for me in the end, I walked to another car rental booth. Top notch customer service, friendly guys and I got it for half the price too! The ratings for SIXT on Google maps is incredibly accurate lol. I should have taken it as a warning.

I am extremely disappointed with Sixts customer service. It has been nearly two months, and I am still waiting for my refund. Despite calling every week, nothing has been resolved. Each time I contact them, I am told that I will have new information in 2-3 days, but I end up with no solution. This experience has been frustrating and unacceptable. I made a car rental reservation through rentcars with sixt to collect the car at Dubai airport on the 10th and return it on April 18th. A few days after returning to Brazil, I opened my invoice and was surprised by the amount, I discovered a charge of 1,937 dollars made by SIXT on my credit card. The contract stated that a block of 7,000 thousand dirhams would be made to cover eventual expenses, but that was it. There was no warning, the day I returned the car the employee also inspected it and said everything was fine. The car was in perfect condition and the rental had already been paid in Brazil. I contacted sixt support and was sent a document showing some charges (almost all of them undue, except the salik-toll charge) and that the difference between the 7 thousand dirhams and the expenses would be returned. Converted into reais, the charge was 10,612.14 at the time of payment. However, the IOF amount was charged on this last amount, which corresponded to 464.81 reais. Therefore, the total amount charged was 11,076.95 reais (in AED 7,969) and I was responsible for the payment. I had to apply for a loan to pay the bill. I contacted the company again who agreed that undue charges had been made and that they would reimburse me on the next invoice. However, this month I noticed a lower amount reimbursed on the invoice than should have been reimbursed. An amount of 1,903.45 dollars was returned, which on the invoice, in reais, corresponded to 9,569.71 reais. The amount that should have been charged is AED 98.18 (in reais 136.47 dirham exchange rate 1.39 reais). Therefore, there was a difference between what I paid and what was refunded in the amount of 1,369.82 reais, and they do not want to refund this extra amount claiming that they were bank fees and that they would not be responsible for this charge. However, these fees were only charged due to improper charging carried out by the company SIXT. Terrible. I demand my money back.

Absolutely horrible car rental company - I returned my car at 5:55pm (booking until 6pm), however they put my return time at 10pm and charged me delayed return without even noticing me and took money from my credit card directly. Secondly, the invoice from App is written in German and you need to Google translate to understand the charges. Thirdly, called the customer service line almost 10 times, and not a single option has anyone to pick up and answer the call. Lastly, asked for 7000 AED for deposit and no idea when it will be returned. Will never use again or recommend to anyone.

Recently, I rented a car from them for four days in Dubai (10-14 April)They deducted the full value before my arrival, which was fine. However, upon arrival, they asked me to authorize the same value as a deposit, promising it wouldnt be deducted from my account but would be frozen as a deposit. The alleged upgrade was damaged and not comparable to the vehicle actually booked. There is systematic cheating here. I have booked a car with a child seat. When we have arrived there we had to wait 25 minutes as the service is really slow, even people in front of us have booked in advance. After that time finally we came to the counter. First sentence from the employee You are too late Mr. XXX - this made me already a little angry as in total I was 1 hour later than I have mentioned in my booking. But from that almost half was SIXT s fault. After copied slowly all documents, he gave several calls to his colleagues as we have booked a child seat. But he failed - no seat for us. We have booked a car 1 week before our arrival to Dubai and called a day to confirm our booking and ensure that a car seat is available as per our booking, we have also called on the day we travelled just before boarding and they assured us both the car and baby car seat is available. Booked a car via Emirates website which also directed me to a third party website (Cartraweler), booking was easy, price was good. However, I had the worst customer experience ever when I arrived at terminal 3 in Dubai airport on 2nd December and went to Sixt front desk, the Filipino guy with long hair there obviously seemed like he thought he owns Sixt himself and behaved very very badly and got my whole process delayed and even threatened to just not process the rest of paperwork and also couldn t careless saying I could complain all I want, all of that because I kept inquiring about extra payments , insurance and the rest of money I had to pay!!!!! All his attempts also to make me pay extra for an upgrade failed and it s only then when he started acting badly and misbehaving!!! I emailed Sixt and unfortunately no response what so ever ! This is clearly why he felt immune that nothing could happen if I complain! Will never ever deal with Sixt again!

Unbelievable waiting although I have a reservation. One employee is serving clients and the second I don t know what the hell she is doing . When I asked her to help she told me to go level 1!! Although there it s more crowded. I m a loyal customer but it seems not anymore

We had reservation on 1st November, and we paid 8000 Dirhams for our car, but it turned out that they don t accept debit cards (nobody told about that to us). We have been charged and manager made void/cancel operation, but we still didn t receive out money! It s ridiculous! Already wrote email to support and no answer! We just want out money back, since we didn t use your service at all!

Left £1800 deposit, they returned £1720 saying that the £80 difference was either my bank charging me or due to the rate. Refused to return the £80. Requested chargeback and got my money back from the bank.

I would like to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction from dealing with Sixt at the airport. I ve rented a car and they have charged me for refueling a medium size sedan 460 AED claiming that there s manpower charges so when I asked for a detailed invoice (manpower charges+ refueling fees) no one replied my email, the contract isn t clear and no clause mentions the amount of man power charges , don t get fooled by the name of Sixt , in Dubai it s a local company with no respect to the customers. I ve written a review and it got deleted, I will check this if it got deleted too, I will escalate to the UAE authorities

Very poor service compared to other companies. The cars have various damages and the customer is asked to make a video to ensure that the company does not keep the deposit. I dont recommend this company because the quality/price ratio is very low.

Small cabin in the underground car park, employees relatively slow and, in my opinion, relatively little experience with the technology (how the printer works). Didnt get the reserved vehicle (Jaguar) but an Alfa Romeo. This one had the worst navigation software Ive seen so far. Absolutely not usable for Dubai/UAE. Luckily theres google. Otherwise the car was clean, had a full tank and was in top condition both visually and technically.
