This is the worst experience I ever had picking up a car. They are understaffed and spent 30 min for everyone to process their rental contract. I had to spend 1:30 min before getting mine for only 3 people in the line. Highly not recommend it.

If I could give them zero start I would. I was a very loyal customer to this rental car company. Until they started playing games on charge me for a parking ticket that they faked. I can t believe how they try to trick their customers and charge them extra money for fake tickets. Rest assured that I will get my money back from the bank but you definitely lost a loyal customer.

Rented a car via booking.com. I have provided the flight number. When I arrived at terminal 2 I was surprised not to find a Sixt rent a car counter. They told me I have to take a taxi to terminal 1 both when I collect and also when I return the car back to terminal 1 take a taxi to terminal 2. That is extremely unprofessional and it is definitely the last time I am using Sixt re t a car services.

I ve been a loyal Sixt customer globally, but my experience with the rental process in the UAE has been highly disappointing. The level of service here falls far below Sixt s usual standards. The process is overly complicated, and it feels like the employees have too much room to manipulate or take advantage of customers. Be careful, they give GAC Chinese brand which is for sure the lower profile car when compared with other brands on their site. Even you choose other brand they give GAC for substitute on desk. I chose last model KIA but took old model GAC with ripped frond windshield wipers. I felt betrayed! They write the similar on small headings but they give lower profile under the name of similar!

Complete Scam! I was scammed out of AED 1000 for a pre-existing scratch on the car s rim. The staff were deceitful and dismissive, even when I presented clear photo evidence showing the damage was already there before I took the car. They deliberately failed to document multiple scratches when I picked up the vehicle, setting me up for these fraudulent charges. And to make matters worse, they will do anything to keep your deposit don t expect to see that money again! This company is full of thieves who prey on unsuspecting customers. Save yourself the headache and rent elsewhere!

I was charged for a towing service that occurred after I had returned the vehicle. For months now, I have been receiving fines and penalty fees. Despite sending several emails to dispute these charges, I have received no response and no updates from their side. They are completely unprofessional simply thieves. I strongly advise against ever using their services. Sixt car rental agency is a thief agency. I was charged for impoundment which took place after the vehicle was returned. For months I have regularly received fines and surcharges. I have sent several emails to contest and to date no response, no news. They are not professional, they are thieves. SIXT, is well know and always has been my best option for car rentals. SIXT has great prices and the process is clear and customer service gets back to you promptly which is great. Only negative point, please remove the GAC car range. It s horrible to drive and it s not safe. I was scared to drive and I ve been driving for 28 years. There was on guy called John who was at the desk at SIXT who was amazing and he restored my faith in people.

Beware of this very, very bad company. They give you a car worth 150 riyals per day, ask you for an insurance fee of 100 dirhams per day, and take a deposit of 5000 dirhams from you. After that, nothing will be returned to you except for the deposit. They will tell you violations and fines, then they will take your card several times after you leave for your country. Saudi citizens beware of them because they are considered the worst rental company. Two hours to receive the car, delay and procrastination.

scammers, I drove very carefully without increasing the speed, they have already written off $1,500 for fines, and continue to write off, 100% do not contact this office, there are scammers here. The service was good, but the company left something to be desired in several areas. It did not offer a category upgrade, as I am a Platinum customer. The car was badly damaged. I was not informed about the deposit at the time of booking and the amount was significant. It took more than 15 days for them to return/refund the deposit on the card. I received information about what was deducted from my toll and parking card because I requested it via email with my complaint, but it was not detailed. I received no response to the complaints. On the next trip, it is very likely that I will use another company, because Six was once good and knew how to serve the customer well, unfortunately not anymore. Unfortunately, this branch is the worst branch you can experience. I am very loyal to Sixt company and I thought it s best car rental company. However, this branch made me change my opinion. The employee asked me to make the reservation on 17th of June to obtain the car and he refused to give me the car as I did not have my passport with me. He already knew I entered Dubai with my Saudi National ID and he asked me to make the reservation. After all, he did not provide me the car and raised a refund request, but I received only have amount!!!! This is fraud, which is obviously stealing traveler s money. Very disappointing!! Plus, I filled many claim to Sixt customer support and no one even replied to my request from 17th of Jun until not (23 of June) I would suggested renting from other company!!

It took around 2 hours to serve 4 customers. Once I reached the front of the line, they said my reservation is not available because I am late by an hour, even if I waited two hours in line. The deposit for one day standard car rental is $1000. The insurance costs $100 per day. The customer service instead of helping like to argue. Even if customers come with a reservation, they are told no car is available at the moment and need to wait for an hour or more. It is a terrible experience.

I made a car rental reservation through rentcars with sixt to collect the car at Dubai airport on the 10th and return it on April 18th. A few days after returning to Brazil, I opened my invoice and was surprised by the amount, I discovered a charge of 1,937 dollars made by SIXT on my credit card. The contract stated that a block of 7,000 thousand dirhams would be made to cover eventual expenses, but that was it. There was no warning, the day I returned the car the employee also inspected it and said everything was fine. The car was in perfect condition and the rental had already been paid in Brazil. I contacted sixt support and was sent a document showing some charges (almost all of them undue, except the salik-toll charge) and that the difference between the 7 thousand dirhams and the expenses would be returned. Converted into reais, the charge was 10,612.14 at the time of payment. However, the IOF amount was charged on this last amount, which corresponded to 464.81 reais. Therefore, the total amount charged was 11,076.95 reais (in AED 7,969) and I was responsible for the payment. I had to apply for a loan to pay the bill. I contacted the company again who agreed that undue charges had been made and that they would reimburse me on the next invoice. However, this month I noticed a lower amount reimbursed on the invoice than should have been reimbursed. An amount of 1,903.45 dollars was returned, which on the invoice, in reais, corresponded to 9,569.71 reais. The amount that should have been charged is AED 98.18 (in reais 136.47 dirham exchange rate 1.39 reais). Therefore, there was a difference between what I paid and what was refunded in the amount of 1,369.82 reais, and they do not want to refund this extra amount claiming that they were bank fees and that they would not be responsible for this charge. However, these fees were only charged due to improper charging carried out by the company SIXT. Terrible. I demand my money back.

I am utterly disappointed and appalled by the atrocious service I received from Sixt car rental. The experience was a nightmare from start to finish. The agent at pickup was not only rude but also took the liberty of adding an additional driver without my consent - a complete breach of trust. To make matters worse, I am still waiting for the final settlement and have yet to receive an invoice for toll charges. The AED 7,000 deposit charged to my card remains a mystery, with no explanation or update from the company. The return experience was equally dismal. We were left to search for a parking spot on our own, despite repeated requests for assistance due to time constraints and an imminent flight. The front staff, particularly the Filipino representative, were dismissive, unhelpful, and downright rude. As a loyal Sixt customer in the USA, I expected a certain level of service and respect. Instead, I was met with incompetence, disregard, and a complete lack of professionalism. I am deeply disappointed and feel betrayed by the companys failure to meet its standards. I booked a car upfront through the site They sometimes give you similar car but they do it everything the offer Chinese cars (I have a safety concern regarding the Chinese cars) so again I was forced to upgrade thats that And the funny part am a GCC citizen so am not required to enter UAE via passport I can enter by my ID so that what Ive done. The employee asked for passport copy so I told him that I dont have it I can provide you with my ID (P.S. I booked the car through online and I uploaded my ID and driving licence) he said no we require passport and if you dont provide a copy he WILL cancel my reservation. This is the worst Sixt car rental dealer I ever tried. Beware and make sure to double check every contract details cause they will do their best to rip-off any money from your credit card. Double check the ODM reading in contract and match it with the car actual reading. Double check the car condition and take photos for any small scratch as they will charge you with huge amount of money for any small scratch even if you didn t do it (they will simply ask you to proof it wasn t you without any proof from their side!!). They will try to oversell things to you ignore all it s just another scam to get more money. And no matter which car you ll choose, you ll get something else (normally worst) and they will convince you it s an upgrade!! Deceivers! I have rented a car dozens of times in different countries, but I have never encountered such impudence. I took out the most complete insurance when renting, but after returning the car they discovered a scratch on the disc and charged me 400 AED for it. Usually, with full insurance, I don t take photos of the car at the beginning of the rental, but here I took several photos and this scratch is clearly visible on one. However, lengthy correspondence with the rental office has still not led to the return of my money. Unprecedented impudence! If there was a Zero option I would have given it. I was a regular happy customer with SixT UAE and was surprised to hear the parade of negative reviews, but after my most recent experience, I finally found out why. I wanted to give it 0 because I prepaid for the car, and they hid under terms and conditions to find away not to give it to me. Forced me to cancel and charged me 3 out of 8 days for the cancelation. They didn t even attempt to resolve the issue rather than loos a regular customer forever. No wonder all the negative reviews Never again. Update: Since my initial review,, they now have charged me for the 5 days . Again.. rather than send me a refund. So now I have another problem with this company and how were they able to charge me again since I didn t provide any credit card on the counter. Only the online booking I am almost certain that is illegal. Useless entity Another update on March 6th. I called the number provided and I questioned my refund and double charge. They reversed the double charge the next day, however they have yet to refund the original booking. What really scares me is that I have been trying to call the same number constantly for the past 48 hours but nobody picks up anymore. Recommendations to really stay away from SixT in UAE. Something went horribly wrong with the this company and I think the parent company need to investigate not to ruin their name worldwide.

I used sixt rental car and would like to complain about your employees unkindness and agressive behavior. On 20th feb 2024, my reservationwas for 2023 Toyota, Corollar. However, Mr. Alex in T1, DXB gave me a chinese car, then I complained about that given car is different from what I reverved. He gave me chinese car suddenly without any information, and he explained nothing. I complaind about changing car with no information and explanation, and I asked his full name for official complain. Right after asking full name, he shouted and stood, then, he walked to me to fight physically. Despite I was with my family, he tried to fight physically. This behavior and action is not acceptable. The Sixt is highly requested to do official apology.

Very bad service - I booked the car 3 days in advance and been waiting for it for the last 40 minutes. Car isn t here at all. No one is willing to provide correct information. Use other rental car companies instead of SIXT at terminal 1 of Dubai International. I am posting this review in front of the pick up point. Will provide an update after receiving the car and how long it took to receive it !

We had rented a car through the website and paid for it. We had filled in all our details beforehand so that we could just pick up the car. We had an online credit card, so we didnt have the physical one with us. Apparently, for the car, you specifically need a physical credit card for the deposit, I suppose? They couldnt assist us with our credit card on the phone, even though you can use it for payments. I found this very annoying and old-fashioned. The place where you also have to pick up the car is very busy and not pleasant.

Service is slow. It took me an hour from time i arrived at the desk in arrival to drive away with my rental. The rental pickup and drop facility at DXB terminal one (parking A2) is a nightmare crowded small disorganized. The car received is as advertised.

I will pass on my experience to you - I reserved the car and paid through the company s application. - Upon my arrival, I went to the office and waited for a very long time, even though there was no crowd, only one person, and he was very slow in his work. The employee evaded and deceived me to pay a higher amount than what was paid in the application under the pretext of insurance. I refused, and he asked me for a deposit of 4000 dirhams, which is a very high amount. He said that if you want to pay his deposit less than that, pay a comprehensive insurance amount and a deduction for you from the deposit (manipulation). -Then you go to another office to receive the car and they deceive you and offer other cars of a higher category in an annoying manner so that you pay a higher amount. -The workers in this branch are a gang trying to steal your money in various ways. -I dealt with Sixt Company in several countries, and my experiences with them were distinguished, unlike the (Dubai branch).

Company cars are often new and clean They have comments: -Slow in taking procedures and recording information, knowing the barriers and barriers online -Can they provide a car other than the one you booked? - Regarding online payment, they do not accept digital cards even when you pay online. When you arrive, they say that the amount will be returned within 3 working days and you must pay again!!! - The website prices are fake. You must include all insurance add-ons, including (glass - tires - passable - theft...) ((In short, a 50% increase on the price)) so that the insurance amount is 2000 dirhams. If you do not include the insurance, it will be 7000+ dirhams.

Absolute rip off. I initially booked a hire car to collect from the city, but then changed it to be from Dubai airport as I thought it would be easier as my flight came in from Neom at around midnight. The initial quote was 2,300 AED, so I expected to pay a premium to collect it from the airport. However, the flight was delayed two hours and when I got to the Sixt desk they said they did not have the car for me that I had booked (a SUV). They offered me equivalent cars that were allegedly in the same class but were not big enough. They then said the next car up was available, but I had to pay and EXTRA 1700 AED for it. He also said I had not booked insurance (I had) and then charged me for the top insurance package (1016 AED). I ended up with a bill for 6,200 AED that i paid because it was now 4am in the morning - absolutely appalling way to treat a customer. I will never go back. UPDATE- Further to the contact from Sixt and their attempt below to say they wanted to hear more about my complaint, I was met with the same dreadful attitude of too bad when I contacted customer service. No account of the fact that I felt under duress to sign a contract at 4am in the morning so myself and my family could get to bed for the night. Just plain awful.] and ripped off.

Once you arrive, you will be surprised that their office at the arrival hall is closed. There is a very misleading note to tell you that the office is somewhere and you keep asking people to find out that Office is in the parking the departure hall in a different level which is not mentioned in the note after walking outside and inside you found out that it s in a very small building closet by people every rental process takes ages. I don t think that I went from this office again.

Sixt in Dubai Airport T1 took 9000AED from my debit card as a safety deposit and still didn t return it after more than 1 month, with no explanation or e-mails. Their contact phone is not working. I created the claim from Rentalcars and waiting for solution. My E-mail to Sixt customer support service was not responded even with automatic reply.

I took mercedes and overall it was fantastic experience. I got latest car model with enough features and facilities. The check-in was also easier. The parking exit time provided after check-in is only 10 minutes which is very low to inspect car before taking. So keep that in mind.

Overall good service. The counter is surprisingly very small and easy to miss. The car pick up zone is shared with other car rental companies which makes it a bit messy when picking up and returning the car. The car was an almost brand new Golf GTI 2024, which is the same car model I originally booked. The agent at the counter was very friendly and smiling.

My experience with them through the application: I rented a BMW Series 2 and the rental amount of 720 dirhams was deducted. Upon arrival, we waited an hour and a quarter and it was not available. I upgraded to an Audi A6 and paid a difference of 380 dirhams. Then they said they seized an amount of 7,000 dirhams because it was insurance against third parties. Or pay 696 dirhams comprehensive insurance and we will take a reservation of 2000 dirhams. I took the car with the tire bulb on and went back to them. They said, Go closer and spread the tire bulb out. When I checked, there was a large nail in the tire, and the car was dirty. I refused to pick it up. No refund or exchange of the car, and it was changed after 25 minutes. The last day, I delivered the car on time, but after 4 hours, I received a message with a discount of 165 dirhams. Note that the car was returned intact and I returned it at the same time and it was signed by the employee that it was in the same condition as before receipt. I contacted them and there was no response to writing this message. The total rent was 1961 dirhams.

It is good, but the insurance amount is high. They took 3000 from me, and God will protect me from them until they do not return it. The second bad thing is that I extended it for days, and the day I came to hand over the car, they did not take it from me, nor did they inform me of how much. They said, We have your card information, just trust me! I mean, I dont know if he takes it from the insurance or exactly how! I would also like to complain here because I was simply taken for a ride. The person at the counter simply said that I didnt have a fully comprehensive insurance policy, even though I had stated this on the app. I had to pay an extra 150 euros to do this because he said you have to insure everything. Since I was skeptical and he had unsettled us, I paid the 150 euros and insured it. Later on the app he showed me this correctly and saw that I had already insured it. So far there has been no answer and Germany simply said that it was signed that way and they cant help. Never again!!!

Worst experience with Sixt dubai, I didnt get any of the platinum customers privileges because as I was told this location is a franchise I rented an Audi A6 but it has the feature of a base car, no gps, no roof, no camera 360, no keyless entry and even a big aparente dent on the side. Even a KIA has better features.

Rented at sixt last week for 5 days. The location is convenient. The problem comes after that. Decided on a BMW 3 series which they didn t have because it had already given to others. I was told what car I was going to get even if it wasn t in the same class as bmw 3 series. The sixt representative said we decide what car you get and you have no other option after saying I should get a car in the same class because thats what I paid for. He tried to give me an Audi a3 and when I said how small that was he decided on a BMW x2. So they either don t know one car from the other or don t care. Second, Because this was my first time in Dubai decided to get most options on insurance that many may not get. Just FYI the rep told me that insurance doesn t mean anything unless there is a police report. Meaning you are still responsible for any damage to car despite the insurance unless the police report is there even for a scratch that may have occurred while the car is parked.

Be VERY careful with this rental agency!! I rented a car for 5 days. I had to pick up the car at 10am and return it 5 days later at 10am. I arrived at the agency at terminal 1 at 9.24am. I had to do the paperwork. Then go to the parking lot. The car wasnt ready. The car arrived at 9.48am and I was asked to take photos of the car (see the picture below with the timestamp). Then I had to go back to the agency, wait for a customer to finish and then receive instructions. In the end I didnt receive the car until 10am BUT surprise, after returning the car, I was told that everything was ok. I look on the Sixt.UAE website for the invoice and they indicate that I received the car at 9:22 and that I handed it in at 10:24! So theyve overcharged me by a day! This is ABSOLUTELY NOT HONEST.

In the beginning, everything was fine, and after I paid, they took all the information and took pictures of all my ID cards and a copy of my passport after that. They took the rent value, plus 2000 riyals insurance. Then the employee said, Any traffic violation, we will take 200 riyals from you, not including the amount of the violation! If you return it with less gasoline, we will fine you an amount greater than the amount of actual gasoline that is missing!! Then she started reading to me their system, to the point that if I had known from the beginning, I would not have hired.. In general, I got the contract and signed it 4 times. I took the car and walked away. When I came back, they took the key and said, Okay, go. I said, Give me a paper or something stating that I delivered the car to you. He said, No, there is nothing like that here. We just hand over the key and leave. I said the security deposit? He said 14 days and we will return it to you, and I walked away because my plane was approaching and there was a tired person with me who wanted to rest in the halls for a while.. I walked away and I did not know whether the car was still in my name or not, and whether I was okay or whether they would show me a movie and take the reserved amount?! Advice: Dont go unless you get something from them proving that they have a check on the car, that there are no notes on it, that its gasoline is in full order, and that they received it from you with the date and time, so that you can confront them if they break their word or do not return the amount to you. Dear sixt It was my first time with you and I need some clarifications so I can understand your working way. My question is why when I came to rent the car you took a copy of every ID I have included my Passport, everything.. And when I came to return the car you just took the key and said done you can go now..?! Why you dont at least write a return letter or clearance or anything like that to show that I returned the car at that moment, date, without any notice on it or damages how can I know that the rental contract between me and you is done and I am not responsible for that car from the moment I handled it for you..? I think I have the right to have any letter from you explaining that point as same as what you did taking every single information to protect your side.

My recent car hire experience with Sixt Car Rental has left me incredibly frustrated and disappointed. Upon returning the car, I discovered a small crack in one of the tires. To my shock, Sixt proceeded to charge me a staggering CAD 1000 for what they deemed a small crack. This exorbitant charge is not only unjustifiable but also reflects a complete lack of transparency on their part. The most concerning aspect of this situation is Sixts unwillingness to provide any details or justification for the exorbitant charge. Despite my numerous attempts to communicate through emails, I have received no response from their customer service team. It is utterly frustrating to be met with silence when seeking clarification on such a significant charge. I find it completely unreasonable that a minor tire crack would warrant such a hefty fee. Its as if Sixt is taking advantage of its customers situations to extract as much money as possible. This lack of accountability and transparency has seriously damaged my perception of Sixt as a reputable car rental company. As a customer who believed in their service, this experience has left me not only out of pocket but also deeply disappointed. I had expected better customer service and communication, especially when facing such a questionable charge. I strongly advise potential customers to be cautious when dealing with Sixt Car Rental, as their lack of transparency and poor customer service are major red flags. I hope my experience serves as a cautionary tale for others considering renting from Sixt. Its disheartening to see a company prioritize profits over customer satisfaction and ethical business practices.
