Car delivery was scheduled at 7pm, they made me wait until 10pm!!! I tried to reach out to them so many times, no one knew anything about where the car was and no one knew anything. The only thing they did was place a request which is basically send their management an email, which did not help at all obviously. Horrrrible experience

There is no such thing as 0 stars for such a bad experience! They took the amount on my credit card 3 months after the car was returned! Due to their own mistake, they did not charge what they supposed to when the car was left!!! Without my knowledge or authority or notice! Ive been emailing for over a month now and havent heard anything except that our team is working on... Come on, its not the space program. When I call them (more than 5 times) I get an answer, someone will call you, but no one called me. So they dont want to solve the problem only interested in taking money...

When I visited the airport road branch I was not offered to set by the agent/officer while the other inspection staff setting on the customers chair all the time while I am discussing the return of my car with the agent !!! I was forced to visit the branch because for Days I was not able to get any agent over the phone to do a pickup of my car, the auto reply message stating the office closed, while all branches are open and I have visited one of them. The bottom line I am a client for more than 7 years and I noticed the Service Level getting worser and worser , actually no decent or any of customer services all.

Exteremly overpriced and more importantly no flexibility in terms of annual leasing contracts where if you return the car even 1 month earlier, they will still charge till the end of contract without considering your circumstances/situation. Worse experience. 19.04.24 booked online for a month and paid for pickup and delivery. Paid. Got confirmation of reservation. Uploaded all required documents. Car has to be delivered at my place on 20.04.24 at 9AM. No one contacted me and no one arrived till mid day. Started calling customer service. After waiting for hours, someone responded. Apologies for inconvenience and requested to wait for call back. No one called back. Then started calling back for help. Again same reply and to wait for call back. This morning woke up and saw email from customer center if i still want vehicle . Totally shocked, cursing myself why choose HERTZ even there are lots of options available. Decided to go to head office. Now sitting in head office. Only one lady at reception, i will not comment on her work, at least she helped me to get the vehicle. LESSON: Better to avoid hertz. If you really do not have other options, then do not reserve online and do not choose pickup/delivery option, otherwise you will end up like me. I do not want any apologies from HERTZ. This review just to help people who already suffering due to breakdown of their own vehicles and can t afford more difficulties.

I reserved a Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid car and was given a Petrol car. There is a difference between the prices of both. Also, when asked for an invoice at the time of vehicle return, it was insisted to be shared on email- I fail to understand why it cannot be given if a customer asks for one (a contract was signed on paper so there is no sustainability angle here) When the email was received, the attachment sent on a link could not open so I sent an email to customer service mentioning specifically to share as an attachment on email. 24 hours later, after reminding to share the invoice, I am sent a link again which is not opening on several devices. Very unprofessional and sad customer service for a so called international brand.

My experience with Hertz Rent a Car was an absolute nightmare. Despite making my reservation over the phone with a seemingly competent staff member named Muna, everything quickly went downhill from there. I specifically requested that the car be delivered to my location the next morning, and I even received a confirmation email stating that it would be done. However, when the next day arrived, the car was nowhere to be found. I was left waiting and wondering what was going on. I decided to call their so-called unprofessional call center to inquire about the status of my rental. To my dismay, I was met with incompetence and a complete lack of urgency from the staff. They informed me that they were still waiting for the documents, despite me having sent them multiple times and following up with numerous phone calls. It is absolutely mind-boggling that a company as supposedly reputable as Hertz would hire such unqualified employees who are unable to take any action. I spoke to several individuals at their call center, and not a single one of them seemed to know how to handle a simple request or provide any assistance. Frustrated and fed up with their incompetence, I made the decision to take matters into my own hands. I had no choice but to personally go to the airport and retrieve the car myself. Terrible experience. I paid for the home delivery on a 3 week rental. The car turned up 3 hours late and noone even bothered to call me to say there would be a delay. Totally ruined my plans for that day. I made a complaint and after a week someone called me and apologised, simply saying they were very busy that day. Offered to refund the delivery fee and give a free collection at end of rental. Never heard from them again on this. Took the car back myself and discussed the experience with on duty manager. He agreed it was not good, gave me his email and asked me to send my correspondence with customer services so he could investigate and said he would get back to me-he never did. We rented a jeep grand cherokee for our Salalah trip. When we checked online, this vehicle was not available, so visited the head office. The staffs are very nice, they helped us check the vehicle and allowed us to book in advance without any payments, also the lady in the reception added a 10% discound as well. I advice you to visit the branch and talk to them before taking a car, only if ubhave time. Because the process may take 30 minutes to 1 hour sometimes.

Came two times for refund, was waiting second time for 2 hours, one lady said I m not eligible for refund, when another lady confirmed that I m eligible before that. This office is complete mess, ladies are shouting talking between each other not paying attention on the customers. What they have done with European rent car it s just a mess. I have had a challenging experience since day one. I picked up the rental car from hertz AUH Airport. I was given a smaller and different car compared to the one which I had booked. I contacted the customer care team every day for 5 days but to no vain. Out of frustration, I visited their airport road branch and thankfully met Ms.Tahoora, who helped me get the right booking car. A big thank you and shout out to her for resolving the matter. A request to hertz management to kindly look into my matter for going through this entire ordeal!! It is very inconvenient to go through the entire experience, plus not getting compensated for the hassle that me and my family had gone through.

Compared to the smaller company Hertz is not fussy at all and has great quality new cars. With their low flexible monthly rate you get all the advantages of long term leasing without the long term commitment/hassle. Was overall happy with my experience and would like to thank Khadija Z who handled my problem, Bisma from invoicing and Gaith who accepted my return car at the branch. I got a small toyota suv for 3 months, which being hybrid was perfect for Dubai traffic - even if you get stuck in gridlock traffic your consumption is always better than 20km/L - I saved a lot in fuel costs.

Thieves who keep your money although they don t have children car seats and you paid for it. You show at 1am with a 3 yo and a 7 months old kids, after a long flight, you have a reservation voucher, there is 1hr30of queue, the guy would give you a 8 yo booster (irrelevant!) and that s it. No refund from Hertz : it is called a SCAM. They file you even as « no show » to make sure you won t get your money back. THIEVES. They even tell you to drive while holding your baby (lol) : it is illegal and puts your kids in life danger, I wonder if they do this with their own children. And the guy kept repeating « you paid for the car not for the seats » : HOW DO WE DRIVE YOUR CAT WITHOUT SEATS ????????

We had booked a car online and provided all the necessary details. On the day of hire, we were to receive the car at 10:00am and at that time no one had showed up or informed us of the delay despite us paying an extra charge for the car. We decided to come collect the car and we re told that they don t accept our debit cards after completing the whole process. The management wasn t accommodating and our bank only issues debit cards and not credit. This is rubbish service by Hertz UAE, and with clients from around the world I believe the management should have been a bit more accommodating. In the end we had to cancel our hire and pay a higher premium to get us to Abu Dhabi.

I am using rent a car services in Dubai since 2007. I am not sure how many years I am dealing with Hertz UAE . I had rented their cars for 9 months or so in the last 1 year but let me warn you before you visit the Hertz Rashidiya Main office. One of the most unprofessional, rude and dirtiest staff I have ever associated with. Now they behave life this because the Manager / whoever on top is also similar . They don t care how long you have been a customer . Be careful before you take the full insurance, the new strategy for them is to find a small scratch in the car and then penalise you for it . Now Dubai Police has charges of AED 420 for a police report if you do not know the cause of the accident. So minor scratches they will ask you to pay AED 150 to 350 and tell you this cheaper than going for a police report . They want to make money not by renting cars but playing the fool with the customer . After they charged me I went back again to get a car after a weeks time and this fellow ( very dirty minded person who delivers / receives the car ) denies the scratches and refuses to mark the scratch in the agreement which is already on the car ( scratch on plastic which is polished ) . The idea is to again make money out of no reason . When this happened , I got frustrated and did raise my voice and they just canceled the agreement and denied the car . Just imagine the heights of arrogance. Now I am not writing this to receive an apology message from Hertz. I don t want any response from Al Futtaim or Hertz . I had registered a complaint by phone and no one responded to it . So that s fine. I have interacted with some good souls before at this same place and they also recognise me as an old customer but this bunch of extremely rude staff I have never seen in Dubai anywhere So be extra cautious when you deal with Hertz Rashidiya, there is a person called Rowena who does not know how to deal with customer or even talk to a customer. She does not care how long you are associated with Hertz, she is only interested in bossing the customer and looks for opportunities to cause inconvenience to customer . Her attitude is so bad that you can take my name and do whatever you can . So be careful ! Do not expect anything more than a car and rude behaviour!

Overall I had a good experience but except for Mr. Nadeem . He blamed for a dent on the car . Luckily I had a video and was able to prove he was wrong. But the tone and demeanour was bad and wrong . So better to get a video when you pick your car and be extra careful if your vehicle inspection is done by Nadeem.

When the car arrived the driver said I had to provide a credit card to pay extra 1500 as a security. Why dont you do it before you deduct the amount from the debit card? Waste of time and money! Dear Hertz management, Yaris AUH14 82351 Rented since july 2021 It was a great hassle free experience Last week I decided to return the car, prior to that i visited your umm ramool hertz branch to inquire about the final payment such as excess mileage payment, fines, salik etc. In order for me to arrange the payments accordingly. I requested Your team member to do his calculations and check thoroughly, he spent good 20-30 mins while i was having my coffee. He got back to me confidently saying there is 0 balance and i can return the car without any charges. Additionally, he stated that i will be getting a refund for the remaining days of the month that i have paid. I insisted again to make sure but he said the same no additional charges and bring the car back at anytime. The day after I brought back the car they checked it physically and upon departure he said wait you need to pay AED 4000 + for the excess mileage. I told him thats why i came and visited you the day before yesterday to check and you said nothing and the balance is 0. He didn t give me a chance to speak further , he just insisted casually that the first time he didn t check properly and now he checked more carefully and noticed that i have a balance of AED 4000 + for the excess mileage. From AED 0 to AED 4000 + ? Anyway, i have a simple request from the management.. could you please send me the final settlement bill via email so i will arrange the payment and return your car ASAP

Hertz global issued refund as an exception, but please find an alternative to the credit card requirement, please. Original review with 1 star below: Bad experience at Dubai Airport, forced credit card policy. Not ok. Response: 1. Dubai Airport Terminal 1, 24th August 2022 - arrivals corridor booth rep. was short in response saying no credit card, no car (not verbatim). There was another unhappy customer with the same credit card requirement issue before me. 2. I cant seem to cancel my reservation online as there seems to be a technical glitch on your website. Please process refund asap. 3. Feel free to consider other ways to manage risks apart from having a credit card requirement (like holding x amount on a debit card). In our region conventional credit cards will increasingly be frowned upon as interest-based credit cards are NOT ok in muslim faith. 4. I got a car from a booth next to yours without a credit card but deposit hold. 5. I will be happy to review the review once action by your kind selves is visible. Thanks, ZR

They will take any opportunity to screw you over with extra charges. was not aware of the end date of my lease following an extension and was not only charged for the extra days I had the car for (without being aware that it should have been returned) but on top of that, I was charged 100 aed a day as a fine, which they waited 16 days to make me aware of. Customer service useless, formal complaint to Dubai municipality pending.
