BEWARE ...you will never be refunded your deposit... We had rented a car in august while on holiday.... We paid our deposit and they told us it would be returned within a month.... It has now been 2 I have written several emails with no response..... I thought Avis was a reliable company but I am starting to have doubts..... If there is someone from Avis who reads this feel free to respond.... But I wont accept Im sorry for the inconvenience and we will look into this matter.....because Its been two months...

Even though the check in and check out processes were smooth and fast, my experience with AVIS is quite terrible. After two months, I still didn t get my deposit back. I thought my first bad experience with AVIS in France was an anomaly but my experience in the UAE confirmed how bad the client service is in that company. I will never use their rental services again. Update : Even though they answer to my comment, nothing has been done. I m in contact with them through their email address ([email protected]) and they stopped answering me for a week now. I filed a complaint to the Abu Dhabi s Digital Consumer Complaint service hoping they will help me.

Never ever rent through Avis! They haven t returned our funds yet for their gas deposit which is taken if you return the car without a full tank, even though we returned the car with a full tank of gas back in August. They will also force you to purchase their insurance as part of their business model. Even if you print out your entire credit card insurance coverage that explicitly states coverage for every country in the world including Ireland. To top it all off you will receive a very rude and condescending agent. An absolutely brutal experience. Avoid them at all costs.

Unfortunately like all the previous comments, I am currently still not reimbursed for my deposit after three months... I contacted the Avis France headquarters who are trying to move things forward. They claim to have requested a refund a month ago but I still have nothing. 780 all the same for a rental of 200 Would the only solution be to file a complaint? Dont rent from this agency, Avis is a good group but in Dubai... Its a theft, nothing more, nothing less.

I swear to God Almighty: Hey, you who are reading my comment, they are one of the worst rental offices in Dubai. I do not advise you to ever deal with them. The deposit for the car is 3,000 dirhams, and the amount was not refunded until a month after they received the car, knowing that they told me the maximum limit for recovering the amount is 14 days maximum. Fast and efficient service at pickup, got the luxury car that I wanted plus some extra help installing local offline navigation app on my phone. The drop off took just 2 minutes. Customer service mailed me the invoice a couple of hours after i requested it. Major improvement over the last time I tried to use Avis in Bonn 10+ years ago (where I was denied, on grounds of my nationality, the fancy BMW I prepaid for)!

I rented a car from Avis at Dublin Airport. I advise against it. Im used to car rentals abroad. First time at Avis and last. In addition to having a vehicle in poor condition with which I broke down on the highway, I was charged an extra sum for an unknown reason even though I had full guarantees. Disappointing to say the least. Took 45 minutes to complete formalities and I am a third time customer from terminal3. After 45 minutes and after taking the deposit they say the car I requested is not available. After a further wait of 15 minutes they give me the car which is possibly not road worthy with not full tank gas. Repeated complaints also did not yield any result. Beware. These people are scammers. This location ripped me off. They charged for an extra day, although I returned the car 8 hours earlier. The added about AED1000 in extra charges that I dont recognize. They added an AED 500 traffic charge, which I emailed them to ask about, but they never responded. It was a huge scam. Stay away at all costs, whatever price you are being quoted at expedia, booking,.. Etc. Will be totally different at this airport ranch. What you will pay will be almost double.. They force you to buy a totally different insurance,the best insurance package you pre purchase is useless and you have to buy their in branch package. Worst experience Ive ever had with a rental company, we booked a car with Avis, to be picked up fron Dubai Airport. This was arranged and paid for weeks in advance. We needed the car to drive to Oman for a seven day holiday. Everything was sorted and approved but when we arrived at the airport we were then told we could not have the car. Absolutely devastated and we then spent 2 days trying to sort out other arrangements we have emailed Avis but have had no joy trying to recoup some of our costs. We have not started legal proceedings against them. Do not trust them.

An absolute nightmare!! A terrible disappointing experience. I m an Avis preferred member and yet I had one of the most disappointing car rental experiences ever at this branch. I was provided with a car which was unsafe to drive with nonfunctional windshield wipers and dirty brown seats. When I tried calling them no one was answering until I escalated to upper management at Avis World HQ. They then came back to me and sent me a car which has the exact same issue. When I rejected the worse car and requested a refund they forced me to either switch to a different car category or keep this car. Until today I have not yet received from Avis except denial and an extra $300 surcharge on top of all that.

I have rented a Toyota Prado newly and that was a good experience. Mr. Raheel and also Muhamad Salim in the Terminal 3 were so friendly and did their job very well. In addition, the car was clean and worked properly.

Absolutely disgusted with the Avis Dubai Airport Terminal 3 reception- person so called - Imran behaviour. Full of arrogance, rude and felt provided ???to a suggestion to place a display appropriately as I wasted time waiting for someone to be in the counter. At airport office. Very rude On the contrary Mohannad was much helpful and cordial. I don t even need to give 1 star for such a behaviour .so let down by such an attitude in Hospitality and service industry

Very Very Very Poor Service Staff on pick up and delivery location in very rude I booked Toyota Fortuner and they give me Hyndai Santefee just said this is only we have, not even listen i paid money for full SUV but they give me small SUV forced to pay for Full Insurance coverage I was so tired after 12 hours of flight and have no option to take that time I never ever take AVIS again and recommend to anyone Totally frustration and waste of money

Avoid at all costs!!! After being an Avis Preferred customer since 2018, I was extremely disappointed by the poor customer experience Avis Dubai offered. It all started upon the day of my arrival when the Avis desk in the terminal 3 DXB was empty. Surely, my flight arrived early (around 7am) but all other car rental company desks were already attended. I had to figure out on my own where the 24/7 office was located; in the parking lot. Then, right after dropping-off the car, I received an invoice by e-mail carrying inaccurate amounts... I called for 3 days the number on the invoice with no response. I had to physically go back to the 24/7 office (and eventually pay the parking lot fees...) to request an new invoice. It was issued... 10 days later (great timing especially if you are travelling on business and need to claim back to your employer within limited time). Last but not least, I was told the deposit amount will be refunded 45 days following the drop-off date. 3 months later, Im still expecting my refund... This how Avis Dubai treats its Preferred customers....

Long processing time. We had booked three rental cars and had a processing time of over an hour. I know it differently from other notification stations. There doesnt seem to be enough cars either and so processing is delayed.

You must be careful when you receive the car with gasoline, so they do not punish you with the price if the gasoline is incomplete, meaning you pay the price of the incomplete gasoline by a greater amount. But in general, I strongly recommend booking online, as their prices are much better online
